The San Diego County Fair beer events Judge, Steward, and Table Captain registration is now closed. We still need Table Captains and Judges however. If you are available, send me an email ASAP: zuvaruvi (at) cox.net

- June 27th Homebrew Judging 12:00p - 4:00p

Table Captains:
- June 25th 2:30p-8:00p
- June 26th 10:30a-3:30p
- June 26th 3:30p-8:00p
- June 27th 12:30p-5:00p

Volunteer position descriptions:

Judge - If you are a commercial brewer or BJCP qualified judge, please register to judge this BJCP sanctioned event (1.0 judge point).

Steward - If you are a beer enthusiast interested in possibly becoming a beer judge some day, this is an excellent opportunity to get your feet wet. Stewards sort, pour, and serve beer at both the International Beer Festival Competition and Homebrew Competition.

Table Captain - Does the word “beer” bring a smile to your face? Then you have found your calling! Table Captains assist paid servers during the International Beer Festival. It is your job to ensure water and beer are stocked, dump buckets are emptied, minor draft problems are solved, and questions from the public are answered with a smile…you are the beer expert and you want to share your love of the craft with others. In return, you get a behind the scenes look at one of the best beer selections on the west coast. Oh, and you get to taste some great beer in your spare time. Make no mistake, this is hard work, and you are one of the most valuable assets in the San Diego County Fair beer volunteer corps.

Each of these positions receives a free IBF T-shirt and entry to the Fair.
